2Should've listened to the other poor reviews...Sep 24, 2010

I should have listened to the other poor reviews - the quality of this product is terrible. I purchased a 48" and 2 24" shelves and the finish on all three was completely ruined as if they had packed the product before drying was completed or they got overheated and the plastic melted into the finish. The corners were frayed and the hardware for the shelves is completely useless - so soft twisting once with a high-power Dewalt drill practically eats the screw heads in their entirety. The weight of the 48" shelf is too heavy for the simple anchor construction so we may have to reinforce if we actually want to put anything on the shelf.

2DisappointedSep 24, 2010

Waste of money, should have listened to the other poor reviews. Purchased 2 of these and the finish on both was ruined, corners damaged, and the hardware is so soft it's worthless. Complete waste of money!

2Absolute crapAug 21, 2010
By Roz B
Bought 2 of these shelves. Some of the screws were crooked, the parts don't line up- and the whole shelf is very unstable. Too bad we had to drill all the holes in the wall before we discovered the problems. Will go to the hardware store to procure parts to stabilize since we don't want to deal with repainting/repairing the wall and finding something to replace them. Boo.

4Good but not great.Dec 17, 2010

I wanted a shelf wide enough for books. It needs to be a little heavier for many books. The weight capacity is only 30lbs and it was used up quickly with only a few books. I do like the look of it on my wall, above my TV stand.

1The Good, the bad, and the worthlessJul 16, 2011

The shelves are good - they arrived in good shape and are atractive. However, if you plan to set anything at all on them (including small rolls of toilet paper), better plan on providing your own hardware. I realize they are only designed to hold about 30 pounds. Before I worked on them, I was scared to put 30 ounces on them. I had to drill extra holes in the bracket in order to utilize a stud, because there were not bracket holes in the same places as the studs in my wall. In addition, I was able to pull out the wall anchors that were provided with my bare hands. The instruction sheet says that the shelf should have a slightly up-tilted design to prevent sagging when used - on the contrary, the shelves angled down when mounted to the wall. After I went back and added additional (and replacement hardware), they look like they were supposed to in the beginning.
